ANALYSIS OF EXISTING TECHNIQUES FOR ESTIMATING THE EFFICIENCY
OF THE REAR SYSTEM OF A SEPARATE MECHANIZED BRIGADE DURING
THE CONDUCT OF BATTLE ACTIONS

I. Levchenko

ABSTRACT

The article analyzes the most important of the existing techniques that can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of the rear support system of an individual mechanized brigade during combat operations. According to the results of the analysis, it can be concluded that the application of these techniques does not provide an opportunity to fully solve the task regarding evaluating the effectiveness of the rear support system of an individual mechanized brigade during combat operations, because they have certain limitations and shortcomings, which today complicate their use. It provides the most complete mathematical model of the rear support system, which can be used to evaluate the effectiveness of the rear support system of an individual mechanized brigade during combat operations. In studying the process of rear support of troops [1–3], an important theoretical and practical task is to evaluate the effectiveness of the rear support system of a single mechanized brigade (AMB) during combat operations. Some approaches to this task have been developed in a number of sources, in particular in [2]. However, the experience of ьthe Anti-terrorist operation in the Donetsk and Luhansk regions, other armed conflicts of the last decades, indicates the need to improve the methodology of assessing the effectiveness of the logistics system, which would take into account the changes in the requirements of the logistics system that have occurred recently.

There are quite a number of sources in the scientific literature that have examined the logistics system. However, such sources are lacking in assessing the effectiveness of its functioning, particularly at the level of the ombre. The most detailed methodology for assessing the effectiveness of the logistics system was developed in [2], but today this source can be considered obsolete.
