Abstract

The logistics of modern combat operations involve the widespread use of military passenger cars, especially in close proximity to enemy forces. Given the specifics of the provision of the Armed Forces of Ukraine, military units use a large number of foreign-made cars of various makes and models. Given this, the problem of providing spare parts of a very wide range arises in repair units, situations of using used spare parts often arise. Methods of optimizing repair and restoration work are of particular importance in this situation.

The rapidity of modern combat operations is characterized by the difficulty of providing spare parts for automotive equipment, especially foreign-made ones. The use of new parts along with used ones complicates the implementation of traditional principles of interchangeability and affects the resource indicators of components and assemblies after repair. The solution in such a situation may be the widespread use of dimensional analysis methods, which provide justification for the optimal values ​​of the limit wear of individual parts, taking into account the degree of their influence on the performance of other elements of the dimensional chain.

The use of restored used parts in the repair necessitates a wider application of methods for optimizing wear limits and processes for restoring dimensional chain elements. The research methods are presented as an example of developing a method for restoring the necessary parameters of dimensional relationships when adjusting valve clearances, since the thermal gap in the engine timing mechanism is an important element that affects the efficiency of engine operation.
