Abstract
The article describes the methodology for assessing threats to national security in the military sphere. To ensure the military security of the state, it is necessary to assess threats to national security in the military sphere, that is, military threats that may exist. The authors offer a solution to this problem through the use of modern information technologies based on the intelligent analysis of intelligence data. To do this, it is necessary to develop special software using a modern mathematical apparatus that will adequately assess the integral levels of military threats, taking into account the stage of development of threats, their scale and consequences for various spheres of state activity.
The authors provide a general scheme of the methodology for assessing threats to national security in the military sphere. It consists of three stages. At the first stage, a list of current military threats is determined. At the second stage, a «threat passport» is drawn up (or specified) for each of the identified threats. At the third stage, there is a direct assessment of military threats with the involvement of experts. An example of assessing military threats using the GMDH Shell program is given.
Further research will be carried out in the direction of developing a scientifically based approach to determining the appropriate criterion values of threat indicators to ensure the adoption of adequate decisions on responding to military threats.
